The Festival of the Sea is already in full swing. Tents besieged shoppers. The longest line ran to the vaccination team tent located at the corner of Rebirth Square.

A bright tent, visible from a distance, attracts the curious. You want to know even more about what is happening here by seeing a long line of people waiting. It turns out that the mobile tent of the vaccination team of the Klaipėda Municipal Polyclinic public institution was set up here.

The two doctors who relied on computers register people who want to get vaccinated non-stop. There are also two doctors who rotate at the store.

Around 4:30 pm about 25 people were waiting in line.

On the days of the Festival del Mar, another mobile vaccination center will operate in the Cruise Terminal. Doctors will work six hours on Saturday and mobile points will work on Sunday if they still have vaccinations.

The Janssen vaccine is given at both sites.

Loreta Venckienė, head of the Klaipėda Municipal Polyclinic, assured that these vaccines have been the most demanded lately, people have realized that the vaccine, which is vaccinated only once, is very convenient for those who want to travel abroad or get a passport.

“When we have Janssen vaccines, there are always queues. It is more convenient because there is no need for revaccination and you do not have to wait long to get European green passports. It is not known if these vaccines will be enough for everyone. We asked the ministry additionally, but we gave very little. About a thousand doses are available in Klaipeda for the whole holiday. We assume that we will use them all in a couple of days. We are more interested in vaccinating Klaip beingda residents. During the celebration, vaccinations are carried out independently of the person’s place of residence, ”said L. Venckienė.
