Sound insulation is underestimated

According to the survey data, when choosing newly built homes, residents of the country assess not only the quality of work, but also the sound insulation of the home; these aspects are important, respectively, 63%. and 61 percent. surveyed. If the quality of work can be assessed only after moving into the purchased dwelling, then the sound insulation can be judged in advance from the assigned class.

The survey revealed that the sound insulation of newly constructed apartment buildings is the most valued by respondents with incomplete secondary education (74.6%), while the energy efficiency class is more important for those with higher education (79 %) and sound insulation is in third place. choice.

According to the study, women and residents of smaller cities and rural areas, as well as students, are more likely to consider sound insulation when choosing a home.

Half of the respondents believe that the location of an apartment building is important when choosing a new home, especially considering its location in terms of street noise.

“In Lithuania, buyers are very reluctant to live near busy streets, not only because of the noise, but also because of the pollution from cars. On the other hand, good communication with the city center, the places visited every day (larger stores, educational institutions, workplaces) is especially important for residents. For this reason, it is often necessary to find a compromise between the place where you want to live and a place close to the route of daily movement ”, emphasizes the interlocutor.
