Criminals in hiding across the country have been detained by agents of the special forces of the National Crime Agency, criminals have been searched and successfully tracked down in cooperation with the Interpol service.

July 5, a 31-year-old Romanian citizen living in Wolverhampton was arrested. He has been charged with sexual slavery after selling a 13-year-old girl.

July 7 a 36 year old British citizen was arrested. Hungarian officials were looking for him in 2016, when the man collaborated with a criminal group smuggling migrants across the Hungarian-Austrian border.

The 41-year-old Romanian and Romanian spouses from Huddersfield were arrested for money laundering and selling women into slavery.

On the same day, a separate arrest was issued for the detention of a 37-year-old Lithuanian national, whose first and last name have not yet been made public.

The man has been wanted since 2019, when he was sentenced in Lithuania to four years in prison for smuggling people into the UK, and was also charged with exploiting people for work.

All this time since his punishment, the Lithuanian has been in hiding in the UK and joined another international criminal gang with the largest number of Romanian citizens.

All these detainees have already been brought before the Westminster Magistrates Court, subject to extradition, that is, when the offenders are transferred from another country to officials from their own country.
