Ausma Miškinienė, the mayor of one of the municipalities that currently host immigrants, the Lazdijai district, says that adult foreigners are fed three times a day and children and adolescents four times a day. “It is obvious from what we hear, from what SBGS officials tell us: they are not satisfied with these conditions. They want a different diet. They are very picky about food. They want better conditions,” said the mayor of tv3.lt.

More than a week after the municipality started dealing with migrants, A. Miškinienė highlights the products that asylum seekers eat and reject.

“There are four products that they eat: poultry, rice, fermented cheese and pasta. Porridge, soups, beef stews, fish fillets: foods that, to the extent that they are transported, in principle they are transported,” said A. Miškinienė.

He points out that immigrants who are not satisfied with their living conditions in Lithuania sometimes behave disrespectfully.

The Ministry of the Interior has established that the supply of migrants to municipalities cannot be separated from more than 5.85 per day, VAT included.
