While elite ARO officials hunt down illegal forests, Gabrielius Landsbergis says Lithuania is determined to pay the Turks to at least reduce the number of flights between Istanbul and Minsk.
Yesterday, Vytautas found 6 illegal people who had escaped from Kapčiamiestis on the farm: “They collapsed there, they took them all under the roof.”
The farm did not belong to her husband, he went to her to cut the grass. It is about 6-7 kilometers from Kapčiamiestis, where they were kept illegally: “I’m coming, there are 5 blacks.”
The man says the illegal behavior was normal, not aggressive. They tried to explain something to Vytautas in his own language, and Vytautas tried to speak Lithuanian. But without success.
“One tried to order a phone charger from what I could see. And I have no more bum Bum. – And how did they come out then? – They went through the door. They may have realized I was on the phone and left, and the wife said the crew had arrived, but they disagreed. “
However, the border violators did not get very far. They were seen by another resident in the forest and reported to the authorities. They arrested the illegals.
“It was growing like a mushroom, I came out of the forest, I looked, the police teams were standing and the border guards. One, I see, black, short-haired, such a black man, he stretched out for a sneak peek. He put him in the car, maybe he resisted, shook him a little, ”says neighbor Albinas.
Residents of the Lazdijai district say they see or hear stories of neighbors appearing illegally in groups of 5-7 villagers in the forest. Some people were also found on his property, hiding in outbuildings. Although there are no reports of crimes committed by border violators, people are concerned.
“We don’t feel safe, we don’t protect anything because they go where they want. No one will stop them. Everyone is aggressive when they are cornered, who knows they are not eating, they are thirsty, they are hot, here a person cannot predict what they can do and how they can act ”, says resident Aldona.
“It just came to our attention then. You don’t know where you will find yourself here at night, or where you will enter what clown, it’s still awkward. We didn’t lock the doors or machines in the evenings, and now we lock everything.”
“I don’t feel any fear, I don’t care, these foreigners bring me more exoticism. – Is that the attraction? “Yes,” reveals Albin.
Although in Kapčiamiestis itself there are now many officers and not just ordinary patrols. Mobile teams of officers were dispatched, as well as elite ARO officers fighting the most dangerous terrorists and criminals. The police say it is for prevention, but people are suspicious.
“Those forces wouldn’t be as necessary if they were ordinary people anyway, but apparently there are criminals and all kinds of maybe.”
And the Kėdainiai municipality, in response to a request for assistance from the central government, offered to host the illegal detainees. Half a million euros were invested in its renovation, but the premises quickly became superfluous.
“There are 40 places in this detention center, there are beds and bathrooms, toilets, a more secluded place to look, yes, we also have schools, we have a certain attitude in society, people see what is happening in other countries, what that is being added sometimes, “he said. Kedainiai District Mayor Valentinas Tamulis.
As Lithuanian officials illegally chase forests, Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis has already managed to ask NATO allies for help in solving the crisis.
“Some refugees, migrants to Belarus and then to Lithuania, end up using Turkish airports and the airlines that use those airports. This was the main discussion here, “says Chancellor Gabrielius Landsbergis.
It says Lithuania could contribute financially if Turkish airlines drop or cut flights to Minsk.
“If it is a demonstrable commercial loss for Turkey as a result of the reduction of flights, some kind of compensatory mechanism could be sought, so far I have not heard the answer.”
During yesterday, our border guards detained 22 illegals, and their total number this year has already reached 1,738.
