“The passed laws do not provide the necessary instruments for the state to guarantee control of the public transport infrastructure important for national security. According to the president, the commercialization of these strategic state companies must guarantee that the objects of public transport infrastructure always remain in the hands of the state. When future corporations manage public transportation infrastructure as their own, potential recoveries from creditors may not go to this infrastructure or to state or municipal budgets.
According to the head of the country, restructured companies must be managed in a transparent and professional manner, in accordance with good governance practices, as well as ensuring the principles of collegiality of the company’s management bodies.
