The life of a teacher is a combination of pride in being in Lithuania and hell in the fight for the Lithuanian word, the freedom of Lithuania, which has become an example of true patriotism. A special period in the life of a teacher is the spread of Lithuania in the Karaliaučius region, so that the Lithuanians living here are not nationalized. Two decades of vaccinating the Lithuanian word, the feeling of freedom of tradition and nationality in the land where Lithuanians were seen after Sąjūdis, to put it mildly, very crookedly.
V. Vasiliauskienė was born in 1926. October 31 Jiezne, Alytus County. After graduating from the gym, he entered the Faculty of History and Philology at Kaunas Vytautas Magnus University.
1949 he began teaching at Butrimonys High School in 1953. He acquired majors in classical philology and later in Lithuanian philology at the University of Vilnius.
1953 started teaching Lithuanian language and literature at Rokiškis High School, edited the school newspaper; He became the organizer of extracurricular work at Rokiškis Third High School (Juozas Tumas-Vaižgantas Gymnasium), Deputy Director of Teaching and Education, and instilled love for the Motherland, language and history of Lithuania.
With the start of the revival, V. Vasiliauskienė became actively involved in the activities of the Sąjūdis, founded an initiative group of district teachers to support the Sąjūdis, wrote many articles in the press, and participated in the Baltic Way and other civic actions. .
The spread of Lithuania is reflected in his book The Reality of the Gods. The professor published a book of poetry and memories “Brydė per lifes”, a collection of articles and publications “Between Two Shores” (2019).
Due to the death of V. Vasiliauskienė, “Gimtasis …” expresses his condolences to the son’s family, relatives and comrades.
