In Telšiai, on the evening of the same day, a fraudster, who had obtained the electronic banking access data of a man born in 1979, misappropriated 2,991 euros.

Similar cases are in Vilnius

Vilnius County Police also reported two similar robberies in the final days of Saturday.

On Thursday, around 11 p.m., a woman born in 1965 living on Darius and Girėno streets in Vilnius was called by a person who presented himself as a bank employee and misappropriated 9,630 euros from her account.

The scammers attracted a much smaller amount of 357 euros from a woman born in 1999 and living in Vilnius. Pretrial investigations have been initiated in both cases.

In mid-June, Swedbank warned of further toll fraud attacks, when callers introduce themselves to bank employees and ask whether a loan application has been completed on their behalf, as well as an attempt to make a transfer from the bank. customer account.

Swedbank security specialists emphasize that bank employees never call residents or request disclosure of login details and passwords.
