If residents now sign up to consume more energy and pay a lower rate and then consume less, there remains a theoretical possibility of some savings, but this is a trick that may sooner or later become apparent.
It’s not worth cheating
Lukas Zadarackas, Ignitis public relations project manager, says there is no maximum reading for electricity or natural gas that can be declared by the consumer, but consumers should only report data on actual energy consumption. This must be done before the last day of the current month.
“We expect honesty from consumers, but when we see an unusually higher amount of declared energy consumption, ESO employees and authorized contractor employees have the right to verify meter readings,” says L. Zadarackas.
The company recalls that if the reading declared by the resident does not correspond to the actual amount of energy consumed during the inspection, the customer’s bills for the previous period may also be recalculated.
Prices will go up from July
The news portal tv3.lt recalls that as of July 1 of this year, spending per household, which consumes an average of about 100 kWh of electricity per month, will increase by about 1.16 euros, estimates Ignitis.
The company notes that electricity prices are rising for households using the company’s services – their number is about 1.36 million. Electricity is becoming more expensive due to rising electricity prices.
Ignitis’s most popular “standard” time zone rate will increase by 7.8 percent. (1.1 cents) to 15.2 cents per kilowatt-hour (including VAT), two time zones: 9.9 percent. (1.6 cents) to 17.7 cents (days) and 6 percent. (0.6 cents) to 10.6 cents (night and weekend), indicated on the VERT certificate.
The rate for the plan’s single “home” zone will increase by 7.1 percent. (0.9 cents) to 13.6 cents, and two time zones: 8.9 percent. (1.3 cents) to 15.9 cents (days) and 4.3 percent. (0.4 cents) to 9.7 cents (night). The subscription fee does not change.
According to the State Energy Regulatory Authority (VERT), the purchase price of electricity, which now stands at 4,240 cents per kWh, would increase to 5,036 cents as of July, and its growth is determined by higher futures prices, emission rights (ETS) and raw materials – gas, oil, coal – rising prices in international markets.
Since the beginning of this year, the maximum price of electricity for domestic customers purchasing electricity from low-voltage grids has increased by 4.5%, while the “standard” time zone single rate has increased by 2.9%. . and now it costs 14.1 cents per kWh (VAT included).
At that time, people who use gas for food (up to 300 cubic meters per year) will pay an average of 0.59 euros more per month, and those who heat their homes (up to 20,000 cubic meters) will pay about 14 euros more.
Since July, the price of cooking gas has risen 26 percent. – 50 to 63 cents per cubic meter (VAT included) and the fixed part remains equal to 56 cents.
Up to 20 thousand. The price of cubic gas per year (for heating) for households will increase by 46.4%. from 28 to 41 cents, and for those who consume more – one and a half times from 26 to 39 cents, and the fixed part will remain the same – 3.99 euros.
Since this month of January, gas has become more expensive for the less consuming population, while for the rest of the groups the price has not changed or dropped.
