An accident occurred at Melnrage II on Tuesday night. A man playing volleyball with friends broke into the sea and collapsed. Ambulances arrived quickly for a long time, but all efforts were in vain: death had to be declared.

Suddenly the man collapsed, his friends rushed to drag him to shore. The man’s first friends began to revive him. They were quickly joined by rescuers and a doctor working on the beach, and ambulances arrived.

Klaipeda beach rescue chief Aleksandras Siakki told the klaipeda.diena.lt portal that the man was on the mend, but also fainted again. He drank water, but the main cause of the disaster is believed to have been a broken heart.
