“The Lord of the Rings 2021” is the flower and carpet composition contest that is organized in the mansion for the third consecutive year and that surprises each year with the inexhaustible imagination and originality of the participants. During it, teams of up to 5 people have to turn their visions of live flowers into reality in one day, and the competent committee selects the most impressive compositions at the end of the day.

Visitors to the mansion can see the works of art of various flowers and other natural materials that sprout before their eyes throughout the day.

The theme of this year’s contest did not stray from love and Shakespeare’s play. This is an excerpt from the romantic comedy “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

After more than half a day in the hot summer sun, almost thirty impressive flower compositions were created.

After a long discussion, the commission, composed of Vladas Ščiavinskas, a well-known photographer from Lietuvos Rytas, Žydrūnė Valainytė, landscaper in the Botanical Garden of the VU Šiauliai Academy, Daiva Gasiūnienė, president of the Lithuanian Florists Association, was chaired by the florist, the floristry teacher Natalija Učvatova, -the carpet was created by the “Glamor Flowers” team.

Several other nominations were also highlighted, such as, Public Sympathy, Most Manic Flower Arrangements, Most Magical, Most Elegant, and even Most Erotic. The first places received cash prizes, the nominees received special gifts and finally all the participants received invitations to the next flower festival.

The first place winners, the “Glamor gėlė” team with Nerijus Navickas at the helm are happy with the victory: “We are participating in the floristic competitions organized by Pakruojis mansion for the first time and we are happy with the victory finally achieved.

We finished second in the same competition last year. This year, in our composition, which represents the relief of the earth awakened by love, we use not only flowers, but also leafy vegetables, the color of which is not inferior to that of flowers. As we can see, the chosen implementation of the idea has paid off. “

This summer, Pakruojis Manor will once again become the most flowery place not only in Lithuania, but also in the Baltic countries.
