Former high-ranking Belarusian official: we have 100% information about Pratasevich

[ad_1]

Aliaksandr Azarov, a former senior official in the Belarusian militia who currently represents the country’s security association BYPOL, is convinced that R. Pratasevic may have been subjected to both physical and psychological pressure.

Azarov also commented on Nastoyashchi vremia air on the statements of the Belarusian authorities that Pratasevic had been involved in military operations in eastern Ukraine, where he allegedly fought in the Azov battalion he came to the military zone as a journalist rather than a participant) .

According to Azarov, he has had accurate information from his service in the Belarusian militia that the Belarusian KGB questioned R. Pratasevich about his trip and in 2015 he was convinced that only the work of one reporter was being discussed.

– What impression did the interview have on Ramanas Pratasevičius? Do you notice that this questioning or interrogation was carried out under pressure conditions?

– When I learned of the arrest of R. Pratasevičius, I immediately realized that he would give testimony obtained by force. Knowing the methods of the Belarusian authorities, the KGB and the Central Board for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption, it would be very difficult to refuse to finally speak about what they want. His current methods remind me of 1937.

– What are these methods?

– Now, and it’s 100 percent. Information confirmed, employees of the Organized Crime and Corruption Board of Directors in the board building threw people on the floor, beat with rubber sticks, shot in the head with an unloaded rifle, allowing to urinate out of fear, and soon . Now these methods are applied freely and comfortably, without problems.

The most important thing is that a person confesses for what he wants him to confess. Of course, in-camera processing methods are also used, and specially designated people work. Everyone knows those torture chambers, the freelancers sit there, they get paid for it. They humiliate the victim, beat what they don’t do until the person is ready to do what they want from him and simply move to another cell.

– Online commentators say that Raman Pratasevic has been threatened with turning himself in to separatists in Lugansk if he does not confess.

– I don’t think so, it’s a hoax. In 2015, I myself led a unit that faced precisely the fighters who fought in Ukraine on the side of Ukraine and the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic and the Donetsk People’s Republic. There can be nothing like it. But they were under psychological pressure. In fact, Raman visited the area of the counterterrorism operation, showed her a photo of him taking part in military action and actually fighting. It is possible that she intimidated him with that. But we have 100% information, I obtained it myself when I was working there, that in August 2015 Ramanas Pratasevičius was summoned to the fourth unit of the KGB (…), there he was interrogated. On the basis of that questioning, the KGB concluded that he went there as a reporter and did not take part in any military action.

– Does this mean that in 2015, Belarusian security had no questions about Donbass?

– I didn’t have to. He was interrogated, released, pointed out that he was not involved in military action, and that’s it. Therefore, these are just empty threats.

– Where do all those confessions go? Most speculate that the confessions were extracted under pressure. Who can believe them?

– To extract the duress – one hundred percent. And not only under pressure, but also through torture, because the injuries to the body are obvious: on the wrists, the face has an irregular shape. I had to see it live, difficult to recognize.

– What does “irregularly shaped face” mean?

– If you have had live communication with a person, then in the footage it is now quite easy to notice that something is wrong, the face is asymmetrical, some swelling that may have been caused by physical injuries. Obvious violations may have eroded.

– The father believes that the son has been exposed to psychotropic substances. What do you think?

– I don’t know about psychotropic substances. No such things happened when I served. I think the physical violence here is first and foremost, not psychotropic substances. Raman can feel intimidated, as I mentioned, working with him in a cell, and he will tell you what you want.

After listening to his speeches, I didn’t hear anything unexpected. He’s basically talking about those rumors that the KGB, the Interior Ministry, are aware of, just to add some more specific details. But it’s all basically hearsay. He said what he had to say, what he demanded of him.

– Explain why this video is shown to all Belarusians.

– The authorities need to intimidate people, they need to uproot any desire to protest, that’s why everything points to that goal. He spreads rumors, mainly on social media, that he got all the information from Raman’s phone. And he writes: Flee, because we will find you immediately. The authorities need all the protesters to leave or end up in jail (so that there is no more disturbance). We must also show Putin that everything is fine for us. It is also very important for Russia that there are no protests in Belarus. For whom is such a land, for whom to protect a country where the riots do not end.

Ukraine: Aliaksandr Lukashenko will be injured

Ukraine will take painful action against Belarus and Aliaksandr Lukashenko if representatives of the so-called Lugansk People’s Republic (LLR) are allowed to question opposition activist R. Pratasevich.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, to the television channel 1 + 1 on Friday.

“Aliaksandr Lukashenko will be injured. We have sufficient means to harm people and countries that do not respect the integrity of the Ukrainian territory. Especially considering Belarus, with which we have many ties. Also economic,” said the diplomat, to whom He was asked how Kiev would react if the LLR representatives could question R. Protasevičius.

Kuleba added that he did not want to threaten, but stressed that “there are things for which Ukraine does not forgive” and the lack of respect for the integrity of the country’s territory is one of them. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that currently the contacts between Ukraine and Belarus are only maintained at the embassy level.

“There is still no political dialogue between Ukraine and Belarus. Kiev did not recognize Lukashenko,” he said.

Earlier, the LLR prosecution appealed to Belarus to hand over R. Pratasevičius so that an “interrogation experiment” could be carried out. June 2 Mr. Lukashenko stated that LLR representatives could visit Mr. Pratasevich.

“There is such a nuance. These people have been prosecuted in Donbass. I reminded President Vladimir Putin about this and said yes [apsiskelbusios respublikos] If you have any questions, we kindly invite you to ask. Because they killed people there, in Donbass, and [R. Pratasevičius] on the plane he shouted that he was facing the death penalty, and our journalists explained that our article does not provide for the death penalty, but 15 years in prison. He knew what he was talking about. He realized that he could be charged there in southeastern Ukraine, which is a completely different situation, “Lukashenko said in a meeting with the government this week.

The Lugansk People’s Republic Prosecutor General’s Office said it was investigating “the possible involvement of R. Pratasevičius in military operations in eastern Ukraine, in the Azov Battalion.”

The day before, the authority announced that it had found that “R. Pratasevic was involved in the shooting against peaceful residents of Donbass and the destruction of civil infrastructure, “and called on Belarus for an investigation.

He was tried in a self-proclaimed republic. Pratasevičius “committed extremely serious crimes” using “heavy weapons”, including cannons, mortars and anti-aircraft weapons, according to the Lugansk People’s Republic Prosecutor General’s Office. According to R. Pratasevičius’s father, his son worked as a journalist in Donbass.

Andrijus Bileckis, former commander of the Azov Battalion, confirmed that R. Pratasevičius worked as a journalist in Donbas. “Yes, Raman fought against the occupation of Ukraine together with Azov and other military units. He was with us in Shirokin, where he wounded him. However, his weapon as a journalist was not a machine gun, but a word,” emphasized A. Bileckis.

May 23 A Ryanair ocean liner flying from Greece to Lithuania was forcibly landed at Minsk airport after a false report of an alleged bomb. There, Belarusian officials detained Raman Pratasevich, an opposition activist who flew him in, and his friend Sofia Sapega.
