As reported by the General Assistance Center, on Monday around 3 pm 46 min. A report was received that a collapsed car crane had crushed the feet of a man in a parking lot on Eugenijos Šimkūnaitės Street in Vilnius.
The Vilnius County Fire and Rescue Forces were dispatched to the scene.
Information about the incident was handed over to the Vilnius Ambulance Station, Vilnius County Police Chief Commissariat.
According to preliminary data, the 60-year-old man was injured in the incident.
When rescuers arrived, it was clear that an employee was crammed into his cab when the crane overturned. His legs were pressed, the man did not lose consciousness according to initial data.
Firefighters launched a rescue operation in an attempt to free the man. However, it turned out that it will not be very simple.
Two more cranes came to the aid of firefighters in an attempt to lift the fallen crane to free the man.
And it was only after a rescue operation that the man was released, handed over to doctors and taken to hospital.
The incident is under investigation.
