Even foreigners go to the city near Vilnius to buy exclusive items: they also sell dresses for 15 euros.

Indrė Orintė, the founder and owner of the boutique, told Delfi Stilis how a small clothing boutique in Trakai is doing after the quarantine.

– Have you been based in Trakai for a long time? Maybe you were the first boutique of its kind in Trakai?

– We have been operating in Trakai for eight years, although it seems that we have recently opened. I remember the excitement of the first day, the first customers and the desire to survive for at least a year. Every year we celebrate our boutique’s birthday and it’s fun to see the first customers visiting now.

Yes, as far as I know, we were the first boutique in Trakai, it intensified the excitement because we didn’t know if a small town needed our idea. We are happy to have inspired others to dare to take action. Now we can call the main street of Vytauto in Trakai a boutique street.

– What kind of people get trapped here? Are the locals or do people come from the surrounding villages or Vilnius to make special purchases?

– At the beginning, it can be said that we receive more or less the same amount of local visitors and tourists or special arrivals. Since the inauguration, we have been active on the Facebook social network, so people from both the capital and the surrounding towns were able to see us there and organize a trip to Trakai with kibinas and “shopping”.

Foreign tourists also often get stuck (not during quarantine, of course). Later, when our boutique in Vilnius appeared, the flows were redistributed. Still, those loyal buyers are local or from surrounding areas. We try to make them find more interesting items close to home so they don’t have to go shopping every time they go to a bigger city.

Some say that they are so used to buying in our small store that it is already difficult in the large ones, because with a great offer it takes a long time and you do not necessarily find something better.

– How did you manage to survive the quarantine?

– During the quarantine, we first started a more active trade through social networks and then we opened an online store. We keep thinking about it, but there was a lack of time and, perhaps, that little push, so it can be said that the quarantine has benefited a bit.

Of course, we like to see our clients live, communicate, listen to their needs and even enter into negotiations. Perhaps that is why online purchases have not been as successful as those made directly in boutiques. We are very happy when we were able to resume our activities and meet the customers again, we saw that the “live” purchases were also lost.

– What brands can be discovered and at what prices? Is it a sale? Are the products defective? Maybe you have exclusive merchandise that you really know no one is trading in?

– Brands are constantly changing, we rarely have clothes from the same manufacturer. We try to keep prices accessible to everyone. You can buy a dress from us for € 15 and € 80. We hardly have any defective items, unless something breaks or gets dirty during the measurement.

Outlet is not a very understandable word for me in principle, maybe that’s why I don’t like it and I don’t call our boutique that. When it comes to marketing better known brands, we have them, but we have more than just them. We often sell products from lesser known Lithuanian and foreign developers.

To say that we have something unique that we only sell could not, but I think we try to be one of the first to offer style and the latest fashion trends.

– Where do you get your clothes?

– At this time, when we are restricted and it is more difficult to leave, most of the time we order clothes from online suppliers, and these work both in Lithuania and in other countries of the European Union.

– How long do you update the rank?

– We try to update and add to the range quite frequently, at least once a week, so that when you visit us, you will always find something new.
