The parliamentarian, who registered the proposals of the draft resolution in support of the Great March for the Defense of the Family, proposes that the Seimas invite everyone to “show by example that a strong family is the basis of a strong State.”

“It is important to say what values ​​the Seimas, the Representation of the Nation, represents,” said the parliamentarian when commenting on her proposals to Elta.

He proposes that the Seimas commit itself to “forming a state policy that fully strengthens the foundations of the traditional family, while protecting those in a weaker position, those whose life in a complete family has not occurred.” .

In her proposal, the parliamentarian proposes to take into account “the growing demand of sexual minorities in the public sphere to equate their rights with the rights of heterosexual couples;

In the draft resolution, he proposes to express his concern about the growing threat of a fragmented society in terms of values, which could irreversibly shake the foundations of a sustainable state, “where the family is and should be the foundation of society and the state. “.

“The traditional family occupies the highest position in the scale of established moral norms of the society. This also demonstrates the public opinion polls, in which more than 70 percent. The members of the society are against to equate the union of persons of one sex with the family. Therefore, it should be emphasized that the duty of the representatives of the State and the Nation is to adequately represent the interests of citizens, protect and nurture the concept of family enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania ”, says the draft of the document.

The proposal of the member of the Seimas Ieva Kačinskaitė-Urbonienė points out that the institute of the traditional family includes marriage, motherhood, fatherhood and childhood.

“Having passed many historical, political, migration and globalization tests, the concept of the traditional family has not fundamentally changed. However, there is a growing number of divorced couples, single parents, adoptive children, adoptive children, who do not grow up with their biological parents ”, says the parliamentarian, who offers the representatives of the Nation in the Seimas to take into account the emerging challenges .

According to the parliamentarian, the proposals have been drawn up in order to achieve the clarity and precision of the Seimas draft resolution, compliance with the principles of Lithuanian and international law, as well as the abandonment of excessive provisions.

The draft resolution registered by Petras Gražulis, a member of the Seimas Joint Parliamentary Group, has not yet appeared on the Seimas agenda. Conservation ».

The draft resolution proposes to the Seimas to recognize that “the discrediting of national, traditional family and Christian values ​​today causes great harm to the Lithuanian State and the Lithuanian nation.”

“Feeling responsible for the preservation of the Lithuanian national identity, inviting all Lithuanian citizens, political parties, national, patriotic, public organizations, municipalities and rural communities and all people of good will to unite for a common goal: to promote and preserve traditional family, national and Christian values, that the Istanbul Convention, which is unacceptable to the majority of Lithuanians, is not ratified by the Seimas. We will establish in law that gender propaganda programs for children protected by LGBT people will not be implemented in schools. We will protect and defend the traditional values ​​and the historical memory of the Lithuanian nation through laws ”, says the draft resolution on the Great Defense of the Family of March 2021.

The draft document promises to guarantee that the natural marriage of a family, a man and a woman, in which children are born and raised, enshrined in the Constitution, is inviolable, protected and protected by the State.
