“Air bags in every vehicle are one of the most important safety features that can save the lives of both the driver and passengers. According to P. Valiukėnas, a special physical inspection at an official auto repair shop, using diagnostic equipment and warranty documents provided by each certified auto dealer, can help protect the buyer from potential tragic consequences. They indicate the complete history of the car, previous owners, possible car accidents, and the actual mileage recorded after each service. It is true that most of the time the buyer has to deduct his own funds.
Destructive defects
Properly installed airbags alone are not enough to buy a truly safe vehicle. P. Valiukėnas cautions that another component that requires proper inspection, but often receives the least attention during a vehicle purchase, is the structure of the car. Its durability, possible past adjustments and current condition can only be confirmed by special extracts, such as the National Automobile Passport (NAP) certificate, which is often identified as the main document that can guarantee quality.
“It is not uncommon to think that a car for sale is made up of two or even three cars. Unfortunately, these tragic curiosities happen in the car markets. The newly welded body will never be as safe and strong as it used to be, so in case from a possible accident, the risk of injury will be several times higher when driving such a car. The NAP certificate gives the buyer a guarantee that the vehicle is in good technical condition and, a fortiori, has not been amortized “, says the auto sales expert.
P. Valiukėnas also points out that buyers who buy a vehicle on the auto market or from individuals and want to be sure of the latter’s quality have to spend not only time-consuming service inspections of the car, but also a lot considerable.
