How 15 minutes Razma, the wife of K. Galveckas, told the sad news to the parliamentarians.
“The president of the Seimas will form a state commission, as is always done after the death of a signatory. I can’t say anything else at the moment, details will be coordinated with family members. We received news at 7:45 p.m. Friday morning, “Razma said.
The signatory is a long-term MP.
K. Glaveckas was one of the oldest members of parliament: already in 1990-1992 he was a deputy of the Lithuanian Supreme Council-Seimas Restorative, a signatory of the Lithuanian Act of Independence. Subsequently, since 1996, he was elected a member of the Seimas on seven occasions.
In 1996 he joined the Seimas with the Union of the Lithuanian Center, then he was president of this party, in 2002 he tried without success in the presidential elections.

Just two years after tensions began in the party over the reputation of A. Zuokas, K. Glaveckas was one of several liberal centrists who suspended his membership in the party until party leader A. Zuokas, who had lost the confidence of the then president Valdas. Adamkus, put it down.
After these events, the Liberal Movement was born from the split Union of Liberals and the Center, and K. Glaveckas became a member of this party.
He remained in the Liberal Movement even after the Eligijus Masiulis political corruption scandal, when the Freedom Party was formed following the withdrawal of some party members.
“I think there is more good in a person”
By the way, when the details of the corruption case were made public, it became clear that K. Glaveckas had become an obstacle to the representatives of MG Baltic with his strong opinion.
“Many things happen around you in an uncontrollable direction, unknown to you (…) I don’t feel like a spell or anything else. As I lived my life, so I live. Since I had my views and values, so did I. It doesn’t work for me ” then talking to 15 minutes, said the politician.
I believe that there is more good than evil in man.
“I think there is more good than bad in a person,” he emphasized.
Glaveck then emphasized that he would remain liberal and considered that if the Liberal Movement transformed into some other political force, and at that time the party had the idea of starting from scratch, it would stick with it.
However, after the 2020 Seimas elections, relations between K. Glaveckas and his comrades cooled.
After writing a letter to his party colleagues urging Viktorija Čmilytė not to become the president of the Seimas, because then the party would be left without a leader, K. Glaveckas withdrew from the party faction in the Seimas, later also of the party and joined the mixed parliamentarians of the Seimas.
