On Thursday night, Aiden Malašinskas became the Lithuanian national team’s most productive player of all time.
The veteran of the national team, who celebrated his 35th birthday, not only entered the historical annals, but also led the Lithuanian team to a major victory by scoring 12 goals.
In the fourth group of the 2022 European Championship selection, the Lithuanians won the second match and climbed to third place.
From there it is possible to jump to the continental championships, where the Lithuanians have not been for the last 23 years.
After battling Iceland at the Vilnius Avia Solutions Group Stadium and answering for the loss to the guests (20:36), the Lithuanians will continue to play on a trip to Portugal on Sunday.
