Džiugas Paršonis was born in Vilnius in 1967. May 23, 1992 Graduated from Vilnius University, Master of Journalism.

In 1987-1988 he worked in the youth magazine Aušrinė. 1990-1995 – Head of the Publications Department of the newspaper “Vilniaus laikraštis”. From 1991 to 1992 he worked at radio station M-1. 1992 – Foreign News Editor of the Baltic News Service. In 1993, he worked as an advertising editor and author in the publishing group of the Bank of Lithuania. In 1995-1996, he was the public relations coordinator for the Open Society Foundation in Lithuania. In 1997-2000 he worked in the magazine “Naujoji komunikacija”. He also worked in advertising agencies.

In 1994-1999 and 2008 he was a professor at the Institute of Journalism of the Vilnius University Faculty of Communication. Since 2007 he runs a blog www.nezinau.lt.

He was particularly interested in electronic communications, social media, digital publishing, social blogs and projects, and Internet law. He was a member of the LUJ.
