Two trucks collided on Titnago Street, a man was run over.

According to data from the Communications Branch of the Vilnius County Police Chief Commissariat, around 3 pm the traffic at the crash site was still completely blocked. Officials advise choosing other routes.

On Monday afternoon, an MB tractor with a semi-trailer and a MAN truck with an open load compartment and a lifting arm installed, the so-called manipulator, crashed in Vilnius. A two-kilometer stretch of Titnago Street has been closed due to a confusing liquid spill on the road surface.

The collision took place on a street along the Neris River that connects Savanorių Avenue in Žemaisiai Paneriai and the entrances to Gariūnai Market (Gariūnų Street).

Vilnius County Police Representative Julia Samorokovskaya informed BNS that at 1.20pm. Two tugs were reported hit by cactus.

One of the drivers complained of chest pain after the incident and was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

According to J. Samorokovskaya, a vague liquid was also found to be spilled on a two-kilometer stretch of the street, which made the road surface extremely slippery, thus the road was closed.

It is not yet known what liquid was spilled or when it happened.

“There is a fairly narrow path, there is no passage, so we suggest choosing another path and a detour,” said a police representative.

The incident was also reported to the Lithuanian Transport Security Administration, and special services are working on the scene.
