On Sunday, the attention of Kaunas residents walking along Laisvės Alley was drawn by umbrellas at a cafe, which, unable to withstand the strong winds, fell on tables outside. As the townspeople say, it is just one step towards a major disaster.
On the image seen Laisvės al. 56 Jonas, a resident of Kaunas, informed the editorial office of the kauno.diena.lt portal shortly after 2 pm
“Walking through the city we heard an unexpected sound, we saw that the umbrellas of the cafe began to fall like leaves. We were afraid that we would not be overwhelmed by the customers in the catering establishment. It is strange that after easing the quarantine, the cafe owners did not take care of the proper conditions and did not place the umbrellas safely, after all, only through the hair of a painful mess, ”the man expressed with concern.
When asked if the umbrellas could be put in place, John said the customers themselves had to lift them, and none of the employees at the cafe noticed or helped.
According to the Hydrometeorological Service, today in northwestern places, the west wind gusts reached 15-17 meters per second.
