Xavi Pascualis, the Zenit coach in St. Petersburg, revealed before the second game of the series that the Lithuanian may have left the lineup for a longer period of time.
“Arthur will probably miss the rest of the series,” Pascual said. “We will know exactly in the next few hours.”
Zenit entered the second quarter-final match in Barcelona on Friday without Gudaitis.
Klaipėda was injured in the fourth quarter of the first match, when he landed on Brandon Davies’ leg and sprained his ankle while struggling under the basket.
Scored 5 points (2/3 doubles, 1/2 penalty), rebound and 6 utility points in 9 minutes. The Russian grandi won the first match of the series 76:74 and was ahead 1-0 in the fight for three victories.
Zenit also works without one of the magicians, Mateušas Ponitka.
