After the information appeared in the public space, officials began to clarify the circumstances and inspect the economic entity. Once the violations were established, a pre-trial investigation was launched in accordance with Article 223 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania, ”said Ramūnas Matonis, Head of the Communications Division of the Police Department.
The article of the Penal Code cited by R. Matonis establishes the responsibility for fraudulent accounting. The maximum penalty under this article of the Penal Code is up to two years in prison.

The Facebook group “Viskas Kėdainiai” has been circulating images of the officials’ visit to a second-hand clothing store since Wednesday morning, owned by Aivaras, one of the main figures of the study “Kėdainiai robinhudai”.
