Grizzlies announce that the Lithuanian was found on the NBA’s concussion protocol after the duel with the Milwaukee Bucks.
At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Lithuanian missed his opponent’s elbow in the face and fell to the floor. The game time did not stop and for a time the Grizzlies played four against five.
Valančiūnas got off the floor and joined the team, played several more attacks and scored two points, and then a minute of rest was called and the Lithuanian did not return to the field.
Basketball players are only removed from the NBA’s concussion protocol when it is determined that nothing serious has happened.
In the game with Bucks, Valančiūnas scored 17 points (7/8 doubles, 3/3 penalty) and 8 rebounds in 25 minutes, and the Grizzlies triumphed 128: 115.
The 28-year-old 211 cm midfielder averages 17 points each season, rebounds on 12.5 balls and provides 1.8 assists.
The Grizzlies rank eighth in the Western Conference with 29 wins and 26 losses.
