Towards the end of the working day, several police teams arrived at the Šilas shopping center to draw the attention of Kaunas residents who were planning to shop in Aleksotas. People thought maybe the weekend officials shared the fines, but it turned out the reason was quite different.

Readers of the kauno.diena.lt portal shared several photos, which were taken after 5 in the afternoon. Kaunas residents indicated that several crews of officers were standing at the “Šilas” store on Seniava road. The drivers felt that perhaps the officials would impose fines on those who park their vehicles in any way.

“People tend to crowd their cars here when it’s convenient for them, a really tough lot. Since there were two crews, I thought they would all be fined on the weekend, maybe the drivers would learn to park their cars, ”said passing Kaunas residents about the officers’ visit.

Here, people tend to cram cars as they see fit.

However, it turned out that the officers were in said store for an entirely different reason. A report was received that one car in the parking lot damaged another, but the driver left. Therefore, the officials have clarified all the circumstances and will try to identify the person who left the place to compensate for the damage caused.
