Meanwhile, Laura Baškevičienė, director of LATGA, emphasized that Laisvės TV is currently in contact with the authors about the situation.
“We have a claim that the authors claim that no permission has been obtained. According to them, that piece was altered and used in a video clip without their knowledge.
We contacted Laisvės TV to report possible violations and asked them to contact the perpetrators. In this way, the conditions of use of a specific work would be agreed and clarified with the authors.
The authors have the full right to make claims if the work has been used without their permission. We received such information that those permits had not been obtained.
Laisvės TV must now contact the authors. They did it yesterday that I know of, and that is why they have to resolve the situation, ”said L. Baškevičienė.
After contacting the representatives of Laisvės TV, they assured that they were communicating with G. Brokas, but did not comment on the situation in more detail.
“Due to the situation with the parody of the play, our representatives contacted Gintautas Brokas. The communication continues to take place in private ”, said the representatives of said channel.
