Now opera soloists are not only colleagues, activists from the Plutiškės community, but also the closest neighbors.
Egidijus bought the house earlier. He says, look, there’s a farm there, you might like it. I tried to go, but access was not possible: everything was abandoned, overgrown. I cut and came back. We managed to inspect the house only from the second time “, – Liudas Mikalauskas remembers her relationship with Plutiškės.
Tonight on LNK’s “KK2 Friday” show, he will unveil the essential rule of renovating an old cabin, which helped him: it is important not to have a lot of money, but a good imagination.
“Come and hope that one day someone from all this chlam, terrible Saturday will do it.”
At that time, the principal of the ballet, Nerijus Juška, needed not only imagination but also strong nerves to buy an old house. He was looking for an apartment in the center of Vilnius and bought … not only a lush old man, but also a lot of burns.
The house caught fire, the roof collapsed, but the place was unique. Rather than demolish everything, Nerius decided to resurrect the house.
“It seemed that there was no roof, but there were walls,” Nerius now laughs at his naivety and inexperience, who hastened to the construction site and repaired the house with his bare hands over many years.
“It just came to our attention then. You bought the burnout and still tried to repair it,” Liudas laughed in the KK2 Friday studio.
“And we had to establish a civilization in an empty field, also with swollen bushes. We started by bringing in a quarter of a kilometer of sewage, electricity maybe half a kilometer, water supply maybe 800 meters. And our entire field, maybe 30 acres, was empty and now full of young homes and families. A polyclinic, a church and a cemetery appeared nearby ”, the former Speaker of the Seimas, who began to settle from the green field, and now a member of the Seimas Viktoras Pranckietis, shared the advantages of living in the suburbs of Kaunas.
Although he became an agronomist and politician, according to Victor himself, his greatest passion was construction. He has built many houses with his own hands, so when he learned that Liudas and Egidijus, who had lost their jobs on stage, were planning to build “crown houses”, he also asked to be admitted to the team of builders at the LNK Studio.
Happy and relevant KK2 Friday, already tonight, 7 pm 30 min., Only via LNK!
