It was a normal March afternoon in Prienai, but that day only a furry mess was averted. In a conflict between several individuals, an angry and intoxicated man with a knife injured another man in his own home and tried to leave.
This time, due to the citizenship and courage of Arnas Vaitkevičius, the situation arose happily.
A.Vaitkevičius, upon learning of the injury of a person living in the adjacent street, immediately took action. He reported the alleged crime to the General Assistance Center and to the victim’s family. The 35-year-old man did not hesitate to warn the suspect at the same time and handed him over to officers arriving from the Prienai Police Station.
Thanks to the efforts of A. Vaitkevičius, not only was the suspect arrested, but urgent medical assistance was also provided to the victim, who was found bleeding profusely at home.
On behalf of the Alytus County police community, this brave man is thanked for helping police officers uncover crimes and citizenship that are dangerous to society.
Andrius Rupeikis, the Chief of the Prienai District Police Station, presented Arnas Vaitkevičius with a thank you and a token gift from the Chief of the Alytus County Police Station.
