Over 3,800 people have been vaccinated since the start of vaccination of Vilnius residents of open registration belonging to various priority groups. According to the municipality, this process is a great introduction to mass vaccination, for which Vilnius is already ready.

A total of 3,969 Vilnius residents registered today, so only about 140 people did not come to receive the Vaxzevria (formerly AstraZeneca) vaccine. Unused vaccines will not be discarded and will be administered to other residents tomorrow. The Vilnius City Municipality reminds that it is still possible to register for vaccination.

“The vaccination process went smoothly today, and now we can confidently enjoy the large number: most of the registrants came and received their own vaccines. Tomorrow the works will not stop, we are expecting about 2.5 thousand. we have registered, but there are still places, we invite you to get vaccinated, ”said Lina Koriznienė, director of the municipal administration of the city of Vilnius.

There are currently around 4,000 vacancies for vaccination tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. The four vaccination centers will be open tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
