More than 1,000 people have been vaccinated in the first three hours at the four operational points since the Vilnius vaccination began today, which belongs to several priority groups. Vilnius City Municipality invites Vilnius residents to continue to register and get vaccinated with Vaxzevria (ex AstraZeneca) vaccine and this holiday weekend. Registration of target groups is done here https://vakcina.vilnius.lt/

“The vaccination process is going very well, and in the first hours we saw that we can get vaccinated at an even faster rate, as long as there are vaccines and there are enough people willing to get vaccinated.” Thank you to the people of Vilnius who decided to get vaccinated this holiday weekend and I invite everyone else to hurry up to get vaccinated, ”said Lina Koriznienė, head of the Vilnius city municipal administration.

According to her, all Vilnius residents are invited to try to register; sometimes there are cases where people have forgotten about their chronic illnesses.

7,900 Vilnius residents have already registered to be vaccinated during the long holiday weekend, there are still around 5,700 places left.

It is recalled that currently the Vaxzevria vaccine (formerly AstraZeneca) is open to seniors (over 65 years) who have not yet been contacted about the vaccine, adult graduates, teachers, lecturers and other educational personnel, participants in foreign missions (diplomats, soldiers, highly trained athletes, cultural and artistic participants – all who will have missions abroad as a result of their work) and those who suffer from chronic diseases (chronic cardiovascular, lung diseases, liver diseases, obesity with a BMI above 35, diabetes and others ).
