People ages 60 to 99 died of COVID-19 last day

Seven people died from COVID-19 last day, between the ages of 60 and 99, according to data released by the Department of Statistics on Saturday.

The two deaths belonged to the age groups 60-69, 80-89, and 90-99 years. One of the deceased was between 70 and 79 years old.

The Statistics Department notes that the number of deaths per day is preliminary and can be replaced with records delayed within a few days.

A total of 3,602 people died in Lithuania from COVID-19. 7,314 deaths have been linked to this infectious disease, directly and indirectly.

Most of the deaths from COVID-19 (1,291 people) were in the age group 80-89 years. The four dead were between 20 and 29 years old.
