According to the ministry, the project has been developed taking into account the quarantine regime and the resulting situation, the restricted movement between municipalities and the fact that vehicle owners keep studded tires in a municipality other than the one in which they live, in addition to avoiding crowding.
In accordance with article 229 of the Road Traffic Regulations (KETA), as of April 10. until October 31. The use of studded vehicles is prohibited and the driving of vehicles whose tires do not meet the prescribed technical or tire requirements imposes a fine of between thirty and forty euros on drivers.
The draft resolution seeks to ensure that the KET introduces a ban as of April 10. until October 31. the operation of vehicles with studded tires would be postponed for a month until May 10.
