On Monday, TV3 issued an official comment on the failed MAMA awards.
“During these pandemic years, we have actively promoted responsible human behavior. Together, we have worked to ensure that in these difficult times, viewers have at least a small opportunity to brighten up their sad routines and enjoy life. We organize projects such as “Easter from home”, “Compliance action”, “I really love Lithuania”, “Lithuanian honor” and others by ourselves or with the producers. Not only have they always complied with the quarantine requirements, but the viewers have been sense motivated to do so.
For 10 years, MAMA organizers have been organizing awards, guests, filming and the final broadcast signal that is received on television. Unfortunately, this Saturday, the MAMA organizers did not control the moments that happened and they disappointed both us and part of the public. We regret this event and hope to find the strength to forgive ourselves for the mistakes of others and, at the same time, overcome the difficulties of the pandemic ”, says the TV3 report.
When the people at portal.lt contacted Laura Blaževičiūtė, director of TV3, on Sunday, she said that security was ensured during filming.
“Everyone is free to criticize according to their conscience. In the meantime, I myself believe that the organizers have taken all necessary measures to ensure safety. The strangest thing is when commenting on people who were not and did not see the real situation, but the organizers, in an effort to ensure safety, were not able to invite all the stars. So I think now those who used to be one of the main guests of these awards are the ones who speak the most, ”L. Blaževičiūtė told people.lt.
It is true that the head of TV3 added that the MAMA awards were not an event, it was just a show.
“It is impossible to say that it was an event and it is only a derivation. There were no musical numbers, it was like filming the program, “said the interlocutor.
