Requirements for arrivals from 9 countries are tightened, a new obligation has been introduced for carriers

In the requirements updated on Friday, carriers have an obligation for the crew and crew members who carry out international commercial transport on all types of vehicles, if their estimated time of stay in the territory of the Republic of Lithuania is more than 72 hours. have a document (in one of the official languages ​​of the European Union) upon arrival no earlier than 72 hours. The COVID-19 test was performed before returning to Lithuania and received a negative response to the test.

In the absence of a study it is necessary within 24 hours. from your arrival in Lithuania, contact the Coronavir hotline tel. 1808 or COVID-19 and register for the study and complete it at the appointed time. Managers of companies engaged in international commercial transport in Lithuania will be obliged to inform employees staying in Lithuania for more than 72 hours about this requirement.

These requirements do not apply to crew and crew members carrying passengers on international routes in all types of vehicles, if they return to or arrive in the Republic of Lithuania on scheduled, special and charter passenger routes in all modes of transport. .

The isolation rules updated on Friday have clarified the isolation exception for seafarers. From now on, only seafarers, crew members carrying passengers on international routes, will have to isolate themselves.

Another important change in isolation rules is that categories of workers from affected countries, who are subject to improved communicable disease control measures, will be able to isolate themselves in the same apartment or house with non-traveling family members. It will not be necessary to isolate the families of these workers.

The list of affected countries is published every Friday, takes effect on Monday, and is valid for one week.
