Court representative Audris Kutrevičius informed BNS about this on Thursday.
In his complaint, F. Kirkorov seeks to reverse the decision made by the Migration Department on January 19 to ban him from entering Lithuania for five years.
The date of the first court hearing has not yet been set.
On January 19, at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Migration Department added the Russian artist F. Kirkorov to the list of undesirable people in Lithuania. The ban on the artist coming to Lithuania is valid for five years.
According to Foreign Minister Gabriel Landsbergis, the well-known interpreter, during his repeated visits to the illegally annexed Crimean peninsula, “he deliberately denied the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and thus indirectly justified the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation”.
According to G. Landsbergis, the participation of F. Kirkorov in concerts in Crimea “substantially damages the national security of Lithuania”.
