According to Mindaugas Statulevičius, president of the Lithuanian Real Estate Development Association (LNTPA), there are no longer any reasons why domestic sales should be closed.

“In our opinion, the wider the circle, the more stores available, it is epidemiologically safer, because it divides the flow of visitors who can choose where to come, which partly limits mobility in the city – which the Government doubts that trade is opened “. it would greatly increase mobility in the city, “M. Statulevičius said at a press conference on Monday.

“When spring comes, it is already active, and people would have the opportunity to come home and buy, they would not have to drive all over the city,” he added.

According to M. Statulevičius, he intends to voluntarily test all supermarket employees every week before they come to work.

“The tenant employees must carry out tests before coming to work, of course, serological tests for antibodies, and then periodic weekly tests, to ensure that the operation is as safe as possible,” said the head of the association.

According to him, the tests could be carried out in private clinics or equipped in supermarkets.

Among other things, M. Statulevičius stated that supermarkets can easily restrict the flow of visitors, because the automatic system constantly records how many visitors there are. Also, it is suggested that traffic flows be directed in a circle.

“We suggest that the flows be separated, when possible, in supermarkets, they should be in one direction, where there are wider passages, they should be separated in directions so that they do not cross, the traffic is in a circle,” he said. saying.

R. Vainienė stated that the wireless Internet connection (Wi-Fi) would be turned off in shopping malls and sofas would be removed so that shoppers would not get stuck. In addition, according to her, the premises are well ventilated, surfaces are constantly disinfected.

“Special ventilation conditions are created, when the air is filtered and regulated, there is the possibility of regulating the ventilation, depending on the number of visitors. (…) The disinfectants just flow freely, we may not have such disinfection in our offices, homes or families, ”said R. Vainienė.

He also emphasized that as the epidemiological situation deteriorates, the procedure could be toughened, for example by increasing area requirements, but activities should not be closed.

According to her, the opening of supermarkets would lead to more security guards working during peak hours to control the safe distance in or out of queues, and medical masks would be distributed free of charge to those who did not.

Currently, all stores with outdoor access can operate. At that time, supermarkets could only operate essential products: food stores, pharmacists, opticians and veterinarians, while others could only act as collection points.
