As stated in the notice, customers should review the conditions for terminating the contract, in particular the terms and methods for informing the provider, as set out in the notice. If the contract is for an indefinite period, it is often sufficient to inform the supplier 30 calendar days in advance and the contract will be terminated. Once the electricity supply contract with a fixed price has been completed, the customer must reimburse the discounts granted, if applicable.
Customers who have concluded contracts at a distance or off-site have the right to withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason. The withdrawal period ends 14 days after the conclusion of the contract, unless otherwise specified in the contract. If the client does not exercise the right of withdrawal, the client can terminate the contract, in the usual way, informing the supplier 30 calendar days in advance.
It is important that a customer who rejects the services of an electricity supplier should immediately choose another supplier that meets his needs and enter into a contract with him. If the client does not reach an agreement with any supplier, a guaranteed electricity supply is guaranteed the day after the previous contract expires, a temporary service provided by Energijos Skirstymo Operatorius (ESO).
In total, consumers can choose from seven independent providers. Currently Birštono elektra, EGTO Energija, Elektrum Lietuva, Enefit, Ignitis, Perlas Energija and Vilniaus elektra serve private electricity consumers in Lithuania and can submit offers to them. After signing the contract with the supplier, the customers will not have to do anything: the supplier will take care of the subsequent processes.
It is remembered that you can choose an electricity supplier and enter into a contract with him now, it is not necessary to wait for the stage of change assigned to you.
A period of at least 21 days must be maintained between the conclusion of the contract and its entry into force, and the entry into force of the contract will be linked in all cases to the first day of the month. The consumer can choose the first day of the month in which the contract with the selected independent provider enters into force.
It is emphasized that fraud is used on behalf of providers, so we remind you to be vigilant. Suppliers who have contacted the consumer already have the necessary information. Therefore, when bidding, the provider can only inform about the services provided and make an offer to choose them and does not have to ask for a personal identification code or any bank connection.
