Tapinas, was a response to the more than 300 thousand signatures collected by the public in relation to the resignation of Tomas Vytautas Raskevičius, president of the Rights Committee Humans Raimondas Šimaitis contacted the police and asked the police to initiate a pre-trial investigation, to investigate the organization of the campaign and to determine whether Tapinas had not misrepresented the names by possibly using illegal software and signing for non-existent persons or unconscious. influence politicians, their decisions, or otherwise influence political decisions in Lithuania.
– The police have refused to open a pre-trial investigation according to his statement. Is that a solution that satisfies you? – R.ŠIMAIČIS asked “Vakaro žinios”.
– First of all, I was surprised that the police did not inform me of their decision. After all, when I made the statement, I was also invited to the interview. Therefore, I thought the investigation was already underway. I will still submit a request to the Attorney General’s Office and, if you refuse to open an investigation, I will appeal the decision to the court.
In the public space, how the signature collection meetings were carried out was recorded. Seeing how easily the boxes, which were supposed to be filled with signature sheets, only made those suspicions even stronger. I posted a contest on my social media quiz: I offered to win a car for a woman who could carry a box full of signatures up the stairs so easily, with just the touch of her fingers. It should weigh about 50 kg. So far there have been no winners.
It is true, when Tapin himself saw that these photos were shared on a social network, he declared that “the boxes are known to be empty” as if it were a laugh. Although he had spoken with a straight face before communicating with the media and did not say that it was empty.
A. Tapinas tried to invalidate the signatures collected by the public and to mock them, of course, not without the help of the Speaker of the Seimas.
If the Seimas Speaker participates in such shows, does she not become an artist at the Tapinas circus? Isn’t this a humiliation of the Seimas as an institution? As we saw in the video of the meeting, V.Čmilytė-Nielsen smiled “up to his ears” even under a mask.
– What message does our government send to the public through such actions?
– Today in Lithuania, society is divided into good and bad, beautiful and smart, and stupid and beet. It just can not be. A culture of bullying prevails. In this case, the president of the Seimas publicly ridiculed a large part of society and its opinion.
By the way, on the A.Tapinas show, the signatures collected by the public were called the dumb registry. Therefore, all of us, the signatories, are stunned. Where was the prosecution then? As I know, only I and another member of the Seimas submitted a request to the police regarding the action of A. Tapinas against our firms. Why are all the other 300 thousand silent. signed?
– Were you really one of those signatories?
– Of course. But I did not sign against TVRaskevičius, but against his work. When he arrived at the Seimas, he vowed to work for everyone, not for a group of sexual minorities. Your orientation doesn’t mean anything here. He is not the first homosexual member of the Seimas.
It seems that for TVRaskevičius, his orientation becomes something of a weapon. He presents himself as a professional gay man, which probably means that he makes a living, that this is his job, his profession. This is outrageous because the situation is reminiscent of racism. A group of people begins to ignore and to be ridiculed, they are called homophobes. A small group makes fun of the majority.
– When you see the injustice or deception of people, you share it constantly and do not shy away from being a different opinion. Although in Lithuania these people are quickly called marginal, and it is easy to lose a job …
– This is a reaction of my conscience. Of course, there are times when my family members, my loved ones, discipline me, try to stop me. But I do not want to remain silent when I see that in Lithuania there are still more equal levels, holy cows, untouchable caste. I was one of those who shared photos on the social network last year of politicians who do not wear masks or wear them inappropriately. Did you hear that one of them was punished?
We returned to the Soviet Union, which had members of the Communist Party and ordinary citizens as servants. The law applies only to the latter.
The problem for A. Tapinas does not end
“Vakaro žinios” wrote that when information about the contents of the boxes presented to the Seimas Spokesman appeared in the public space, the Seimas Deputy Mindaugas Puidokas had already requested the Prosecutor’s Office for the action organized by A. Tapinas. requests to initiate a pre-trial investigation. In compiling the list of supporters of the petition initiated by him, he used illegally used electronic data of natural persons to compile this list.
But that is not the end. On Tuesday, Vaidas Žemaitis Lekstutis addressed the police about the episode of the STT program “Laisvės TV X” on “Laisvės TV X”, founded by A. Tapinas, which was announced on Tuesday. At the end of the program, the presenter says: “Today, Vaidas Lekstutis, a Kremlin supporter who has publicly despised and incited hatred and spread false information, is a disgusting dog.
