Today at 6:12 pm At the General Emergency Response Center (BPC), the emergency number 112 received a message that an 8-year-old boy had fallen into a water well near his home in the village of Neravai, Lazdijai district, and his father had tried to rescue him. The incident was somehow reported Tuesday night by the wounded man himself.
Rescue forces and firefighters have been dispatched to the scene, reports BPC. Information about the incident was released to the Kaunas Ambulance Station and the Alytus County Police Chief Commissioner.
Rescue representatives immediately reported that both victims were rescued and their lives were not in danger, according to preliminary data.
According to the Situation Coordination Division of the Department of Fire Protection and Rescue, both victims have been referred to doctors, writes BNS. However, there is no evidence that the father or son suffered more serious injuries at the well.
The circumstances of the disaster are just beginning to be investigated and evaluated.
