“We propose to remove the legislation governing the Partnership Institute from the work program, as this is a controversial issue in society. We, the members of the Seimas, buy a cat in a bag, without knowing how many legal acts there will be, because the organizers themselves do not know the exact number or the names, these projects have not been registered ”, said A. According to her, the projects will be available for consideration once they are actually registered.

Said proposal was not approved in committee, with 5 members in favor of the Commission for the Future, 8 against and 3 abstentions.

Freedom Faction plans to propose the inclusion of an association bill in the spring session of the Seimas, which provides for the legalization of a gender-neutral association institute. This project is not yet registered.

In Lithuania, the association is not legalized neither for heterosexual nor homosexual couples.
