Images from the detention operation in the Raseiniai district show how forensic scientists discovered underground drug factories. Record amounts of amphetamines and raw materials for drug production were found.

“About 200 kilograms of psychotropic substances were seized and three illegal laboratories for psychotropic substances were found and dismantled. Three residents of the Raseiniai region were detained, many psychotropic substances and chemicals were found, the origin of which we explained and conducted an examination at the Center Criminal Investigation “, comments Šiauliai County Police Chief Ramūnas Sarapas.

Police report that a 31-year-old man leaving the garage in Raseiniai was arrested for the first time. The garage was also equipped with a main warehouse, where 1,000 tablets, 200 kilograms of amphetamines and other substances were found to be manufactured in bags.

Later, the accomplices of 38 and 36 years were searched in laboratories and articles related to drugs, as well as weapons.

“About ten searches were carried out, the pre-trial judge declared the entire record legal, and the prosecutor asked the previous judge to arrest three people for three months, the judge ordered the arrest for a maximum period of three months.” . taught in Šiauliai county Chief Prosecutor Kastytis Šikšnys.

The drugs are believed not to have been trafficked in the Raseiniai district, most likely intended to be sold abroad. Searches of suspected family members were carried out: a car was transported to transport drugs in the territory of a company.

“The vehicle, which was prepared with hiding places, meant that most of these drugs were being prepared to be transported from Lithuania to foreign countries. Which I will definitely not answer now.” said R. Sarapas.

Authorities say the detainees are already relatives of the police, although they have not yet been convicted. It is still unknown how long the underground labs have been operating.

Siauliai County Police Chief Ramūnas Sarapas says:

“We prevent this act from the beginning, in the initial stage. Large quantities of materials are produced and ready for shipment. But they were not deported anywhere, it is clear that the quarantine in force in the country at that time interfered. I think we managed to prevent them from developing. “

Drug production suspects face a particularly high risk of imprisonment for up to fifteen years.
