Two women and a man were injured when 3 cars collided on the outskirts of Vilnius

Accident report Galvės st. and J.Tiškevičiaus st. received at the intersection around 11 pm 41 min. Three cars were reported to have collided here while driving out of town, requiring medical attention as a woman was injured.

When ambulances and police patrols rushed to the crash site, Ford, Opel and Audi cars collided at the intersection. Two women and a man were injured during the crash.

According to preliminary data, the accident may have occurred because of the driver of the Ford car, who entered the intersection while driving from Vilnius with a red light. At that time, when the green light was on, Opel and Audi cars also entered the intersection from the side of Trakai Vokė.

After some time, checking the Ford driver’s sobriety of the car revealed that he was sober.

Ambulances took a Ford passenger and an Opel passenger to the hospital. The driver of the Opel was assisted on the spot by ambulance doctors.

According to preliminary data, one of the affected women (55 years old) suffered a back injury.

Due to the accident, traffic in the directions of Trakai, Varėna and Druskininkai was severely hampered. There were traffic jams here.

The incident is under investigation.
