R.Šimašius stated that he would like to thank P. Poderskis. “When I invited Povilas six years ago to help me deal with open data for a quarter of the release, I knew there would be good things, but it would be hard to guess that there would be so many achievements and so many good things.
Since then, Paul has become increasingly involved, for which I am grateful, just as I am grateful to have assumed this responsible role, the Managing Director role, just over three years ago. We see how the city and the municipal administration in general change, and above all thanks to Paul, who becomes more open, more dynamic, more creative. This is a very good legacy that Paul leaves behind. I am very happy that we are working together, ”said the mayor.
Stadium and pool
In speaking, Podersky reviewed a number of issues that were or were not successful during his years of work. He called the multifunctional complex, the national stadium and the Lazdynai basin, as (dis) successes.

For the stadium, however, he does not lose hope and said that he hopes that perhaps the pending court decision is in favor of the city. At the same time, it was a lesson that such a project is very difficult to implement.
“The Lazdynai basin contractor was selected unable, the project was stopped. But now we have a new contractor and the group will be in a few years, “Podersky said.

“The work never ends”
As one of the achievements, he named the changes in the work culture of the municipality, which can now be answered more quickly. He said 366 projects had been completed, hybrid exercises had been organized and corporate governance had been simplified.
Among the successful projects, he named the construction of new schools, as well as the beach at Lukiškės Square.
Not as a merit of his own, but as an achievement of the city council, P. Podersky pointed to the growing revenues of the city budget.
When asked if I feel like I’ve done everything, I think if someone says they’ve done everything in the course of such a post, they either didn’t have the ambition or didn’t really understand where they got there.
“The city’s work never ends. When they ask me if I feel like I’ve done it all, I think if someone in that position said they did it all, either they had no ambitions or they didn’t really understand where they got to, because the city doesn’t does, stop changing, improve, the problems don’t end there.
Public and open communication about the decisions I made was a decision that made my job easier and perhaps even avoided the mistakes that I managed to see even before they were made. This is an example to follow, “said P. Poderski.
He claimed that there is very little money left in Vilnius and that the capital, like other cities, relies heavily on the central government for projects. Thanks to P. Poderskis, L. Koriznienė wished him the best of success, to whom he will pass the burden.
Unanimously dismissed
P. Poderskis received several questions from council members, including the scandal over the investigation launched by the Financial Crimes Investigation Service (FNTT) last May into the purchase of lung ventilators by the Vilnius City Council.
Speaking before the vote, Artūras Zuokas stated that P. Poderskis had not implemented any strategic projects, not to mention the constant remarks on public procurement, as well as the fines.

The decision to remove P. Poderski was unanimously supported by the members of the Vilnius Municipal Council.
“Absolute fan of Vilnius”
Lina Koriznienė, who is proposing as the new director of the administration, has been working in various positions in the municipality for 16 years. She is currently the Head of the Human Resources Management Division.
Precisely the fact that it is from the municipality itself, as one of the main and most important reasons indicated by the mayor when presenting the candidate for director.
I would very much like all my colleagues to look at clients at eye level, not from above, so that smart people work here, – said L. Koriznienė.
Introducing herself, L. Koriznienė admitted that she is an “absolute fan of Vilnius”. “For a long time, when they asked me or I said ‘you know, Lina, there the tiles are badly placed or the road is asphalted’, I replied, why are you telling me that? personalistė. But then I realized that we are all ambassadors for the administration. I wish we could all say that we are building Vilnius, ”said the director nominee.
According to L. Koriznienė, all Vilnius residents must also contribute to the creation of Vilnius. He said that all employees of the city’s largest organization, the municipality, should think about their role here, because the saying that working only for “financial injection” does not satisfy them.

“I would very much like all my colleagues to look at customers at eye level, not from above, so that smart people, better than us, like we were yesterday, work here,” said L. Koriznienė, emphasizing that the manager You must be able to mobilize the team, because you will not do anything.
L. Koriznienė did not receive him at the Question Council meeting, the factions had the opportunity to ask him earlier.
36 of the 51 council members participated in the secret ballot, all supporting the new managing director.
P. Poderskis became director of the Vilnius Municipality administration following the dismissal of Alma Vaitkunskienė, who had worked together with R. Šimašius since the beginning of his first term, at the proposal of the Mayor. Until then, he worked as an adviser to the mayor on information technology. Podersky intends to continue his career at the private information technology company Tesonet.
