COVID-19 prophylactic testing begins with rapid antigen tests

[ad_1]

Until now, different groups of the population have been invited to perform preventive tests in PCR tests. Starting this week, PCR tests are being replaced by rapid antigen tests.

In a PCR assay, a sample is taken from the nasopharynx and a response to the test is obtained within an average of 24 hours. A rapid nasopharynx antigen test sample is also taken, but the response is much faster, in just 15 to 20 minutes.

An exact list of prophylactic study groups can be found. HERE.

Prophylactic tests, regardless of the group of people studied, are not appropriate and are not performed for people who:

  • have a history of coronavirus and it has been less than 90 days since a positive PCR or antigen test result;
  • you have a positive coronavirus serologic antibody test result if less than 60 days have passed;
  • vaccinated with a coronavirus vaccine according to a full vaccination schedule for less than 90 days.

Individuals are invited to register for the study online by completing the electronic registration form (For Preventive Studies for Target Groups) at https://selfreg.myhybridlab.com. Electronic registration requires access data to electronic banking. If the person works in an institution or company, the code of legal entity (place of work) must be entered when registering. Registration is also possible through the Coronavir Hotline 1808 system by phone.
