E. Dobrovolska stressed that Lithuania was trying to solve the problems of Lithuanian citizens serving a prison sentence abroad through diplomatic channels and called for closer cooperation between the countries and the conclusion of international agreements.
The meeting also discussed broader opportunities for cooperation between countries and the dissemination of good practices in the field of digitization.
“Application of innovative solutions, digitalization of processes – measures that ensure not only the efficiency of legal processes, but also the reduction of costs. Faced with the pandemic, the importance of this issue has become even more relevant, so Lithuania will promote the development of digital processes and seek the effective cooperation of institutions in charge of international law enforcement, ”said E.
