The Kaziukas fair is not disappearing anywhere – this year you change your clothes and meet everyone safely online. It will not last a few days, but the whole year.
The Kaziukas Fair, starting on Thursday, March 4, can be visited at www.craftson.lt.
However, the virtual fair that had just started did not withstand the large number of visitors and was out of service for a long time. The organizers tried to move the website to new servers all day.
As of Thursday night, the page works without problems. So let’s take a look at what can be found and bought at an unusual fair.
The choice is really impressive and it does not even constitute a real Kaziukas fair. In the store, everyone can not only admire the artists’ works without lifting their feet from home, but also safely and conveniently buy them.
This virtual store offers its products to 264 non-food artisans and developers.
What can we find at the fair?
According to Renaldas Gražys, one of the promoters of this project, Craftson.lt is a place where talented creators and producers of works of art will be able to present their products, full of warmth, heart and good emotions, throughout the year.
“Probably, for many participants of the traditional Kaziukas fair, who create traditional artisan products, it is a great challenge to create and manage their electronic store, and for the visitor – to discover these talents. I believe that this platform will help to combine creativity and craftsmanship, tradition and the opportunities of today to easily acquire and, more importantly, surely something original, beautiful and special, “said R. Gražys.
Currently, we can find about 5,000 products at the fair.
The prices of the products are really different: we can find the most popular product of the Kaziukas fair – a wooden spoon, which costs between 6 EUR and 83 EUR.
The jewels range between 2 euros and 350 euros. The cheapest product is buttons and the most expensive is a silver necklace with amber. The prices of the verbs range between 4 and 65 euros.
One of the most popular products can be found at the fair: face masks. Its price is from 3.90 to 10 euros.
The most expensive products we were able to find are the “Hermanos” painting (price 990 euros), the “aged” oak chest of drawers – 890 euros and the “aged black 100” oak furniture set – 840 euros.
The cheapest I could find was a minimalist necklace for 1.40 euros. Well, for 2 euros it is already possible to choose between several products: a clay plate under the chenac, saga, dried lavender, pendants.
The origins of the Kaziukas Fair date back to the 17th century and it is believed that the centennial annual event did not take place only during WWII. This year, plans for the biggest spring break have been changed due to a global pandemic.
