ELTA recalls that the president of the Foreign Affairs Committee was criticized when, during a visit to Sakartvele and a press conference by opposition forces, he stated that the arrest of Nartoro Melia, leader of the Sakartvele opposition, could provoke an international response and possible penalties.
After the Seimas Board session held on Wednesday, in which the Conservative had to explain about his visit to Sakartvele, Ž. Pavilionis asked journalists how they valued the presidential statement that the diplomatic mission entrusted to them by parliament had not been handled.
“I remember that a similar information attack was carried out against several of our diplomats, one of whom is no longer among the living: Renatas Juška. It is very regrettable that our institutions and the highest level are victims of attacks on information ”, Ž. Pavilion.
“I think it was affected by the attack on the current government (Sakartwell – ELTA). They did not like the fact that Lithuanian diplomats and politicians tried to stop their special campaign to sweep away the opposition. When 21 people were taken prisoner and 17 turned out wounded. I am always on the side of those who are unjustly beaten and pushed, so to speak, by Stalinist methods … “, Ž said. The flag expressed the view that the president should physically go to Sakartwell, which was in a political crisis.
“I am very confident that the president is on our side, because he raised it himself at the European Summit. So why go up if there are no problems? And if it already raises, then not only criticism and comments, but also its physical implication.

I think the president is in favor of the independent media, the free opposition, the non-plantar opposition (Sakartvele – ELTA) ”, Ž said. Pavilionis, noting that in his opinion, it was in the capital of Sakartwell that there could be a test of presidential leadership.
The chairman of the Seimas Foreign Affairs Commission, who was invited to the Seimas Board on Wednesday to explain his visit to Sakartvele, said that when he went to the South Caucasus country, he vigorously defended European and transatlantic values. Meanwhile, the Seimas Social Democrats emphasized that Ž. During his visit, the pavilion made major diplomatic mistakes, for which he must resign from his position on the parliamentary committee.
According to A. Skaisgirytė, the president’s main adviser, the conservative sent to mediate in the South Caucasus state, which is going through a political crisis, did not fulfill the mission that had been entrusted to him.
“The politician went to another country and supported a political force. He did what he did. Unfortunately, he failed in the mediation mission.
