Choosing the store by chance, she entered the store on the night of that day, covering her face with a mask, as is done in an epidemic. The guy was armed with a rusted pistol from an acquaintance who he said he couldn’t shoot because he no longer had a drum or ammunition magazine.
In the store, a minor pulled out a gun and, shouting “robbery”, pointed it at the seller. The woman was brave. He pressed the alarm button and attacked the thief, trying to take the gun from him and rip the mask from his face. I did not expect such a reaction. Surprised that the vendors weren’t intimidated by the gun and scared that police officers would show up immediately, the young offender ran through the door.
Neither the police nor the security service showed up that night because the security call button did not work. As no property damage was caused, the seller suffered no bodily injury, so there was no rush to contact the police. Information about the incident reached officials only the following afternoon. Officials launched a pre-trial investigation into the theft and took steps to identify the suspect. A lot of analytical work was done, criminal intelligence tools were used, and a week later coroners knocked on the door of the suspect’s home. The guy was found in custody.
During the search of his residence, the main evidence of the crime – a weapon – was not found by the police, because, according to the suspect, he disposed of the weapon and the mask, dropping them on the ice of the river and waiting for the evidence. he would have drowned when the weather warmed up.
However, during the search, other items were found for which possession and use are criminalized. The criminals removed a suspicious drug, marijuana, wrapped in a piece of paper from a printer at his home. Therefore, the guy faces criminal liability not only for attempting to steal, but also for illicit drug possession.
