The agenda of the visit includes meetings with a colleague, the Speaker of the Latvian Parliament, Inara Murniece, the President of Latvia, Egils Levits, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Edgars Rinkevičius. The meetings will focus on bilateral relations and cooperation, the management of the COVID pandemic, the threats from the Astrava nuclear power plant and other topics. During the visit, the President of the Seimas will also pay tribute to the victims of Latvia’s freedom struggle by laying flowers at the Freedom Monument in Riga.
