On Sunday night, little snow fell in the country’s eastern districts, but despite the fresh snow, spring will continue on Sunday, meteorologist Alva Nagelytė told LRT Radio.
According to her, the western side of the country will be dominated by cloudy clouds, with sunny periods, no rainfall and the temperature will rise to 7-9 degrees in many places.
Above the eastern districts there will be quite dense clouds with light precipitation – drizzle and rain. Here the temperature will be lower, around 4-6 degrees of heat. Similar temperatures are expected on the coast. In the first half of the day there will be a southwest wind, west and in the second half of the day, and moderate wind from the northwest.
No precipitation is expected on Monday, March 1, at night the clouds will dissipate, but when the wind calms after midnight, fog will begin to form and blizzards will be covered. The lowest night temperature will drop to 1-4 degrees below zero.
During the day, the sun will alternate with clouds in the western, northern areas, the air in these regions will warm to 8-11 degrees, and in the southeast areas, which will slowly be guided by fog and low clouds, will be only from 5-6 degrees.
Similar spring weather will continue into the middle of the week, and in the second half of the week, cold weather may already begin, perhaps even winter will return for a short time, the weather forecaster said.
